I was brought up in a time when it was most likely considered tacky to give money as a gift, but these days, with money being a little tighter than in the past, it can allow the recipient to enjoy a little luxury item of their own choosing. A great way to do this is to give Visa gift cards, because then it gives something that can be held in the hand, and shows that you have more style in a way than just inserting money into a greetings card.
