I have avoided fixing the bath taps for a long time now. I knew that they would need to be replaced, and that the wall would have to be opened up to enable it to be done.
So, the other day, I try to take off the showerhead, you know, the spray thingy on the end of the pipe that sticks out of the wall.
Well, off it came, like, right off, no unscrewing needed. The pipe was corroded. Then I try to remove the pipe, as we will need a new one that has screw threads on the end to screw the showerhead back onto.
Well, off it came, no unscrewing. At this point I know that the wall will be taken down within a day.
So, here I am. Nothing fits, nothing matches, I have to replumb the whole area behind the tub wall.
The water is now switched off, and it is coffee time before the next onslaught - getting it all back working again.
